This month has been all about implementing a new form of question type for you to collect structured, comparable, and deeply insightful data — new to the team are: Matrix Questions.

Matrix Questions condense multiple survey questions into a clean, visual table format, making it easier for your customers to answer and easier for you to analyze. Whether you’re measuring satisfaction, brand perceptions, or detailed performance across multiple aspects, the matrix makes your surveys shorter, smarter, and more powerful.

We have multiple options created for you to work with Matrix Questions, here’s in detail how you can use them:

1 Single Choice Matrix

With the Single Choice Matrix, you get a consistent scale across all items — producing clean, comparable data. It’s the simplest, fastest way to capture overall judgments.

Rows = items you want to compare (e.g., car brands)
Columns = satisfaction levels (from very dissatisfiedvery satisfied).

  • Respondents choose one answer per row
  • Five questions condensed into one table

2 Checkbox Matrix

With the Checkbox Matrix, you can capture multiple qualities per item — producing rich, nuanced data. It’s the most effective way to map associations and perceptions through multiple choice.


Rows = items (e.g., car brands)
Columns = qualities (e.g., reliable, innovative, luxurious, affordable)

  • Respondents can check multiple boxes per row
  • Captures perceptions and associations, not just one rating


Example: Toyota may be tagged as reliable and affordable, while BMW may be seen as innovative and luxurious.

3 3D Matrix

The 3D Matrix is our most advanced version — enabling you to capture depth and detail.

Rows = items (e.g., car brands).
Column groups = aspects (e.g., reliability, design, innovation).
Sub-columns = evaluation scale (below expectations → exceeds expectations).

  • Richer insights without switching between separate questions
  • Compare across both items and aspects in one table
